All Proceeds from this event are in support of HAAM (Health Alliance for Austin Area Musicians), providing access to affordable healthcare for low-income working musicians with a focus on prevention and wellness. Figure Drawing Classes

On Wednesday evenings from 6 pm-8 pm beginning June 2 through August 11, Tiemann Art Gallery will host LIFE DRAWING CLASSES. Cost is $10/session without instruction or $20/session with instruction by artist and Professor of drawing Matthew Stavrowsky. Seating is limited.  

Matthew Stavrowsky comes from a very artistic Texas family and has enjoyed a multi-faceted career as a designer, illustrator, fine artist, and Professor of drawing. Matt has been a drawing instructor at Austin Community College for over twenty years and has helped hundreds of students to achieve their artistic and career goals.

MayDay Artists Celebration

We are celebrating San Antonio artist and educator Gloria Sanchez Hart's new show Retrospective: "50 Years of Printmaking" as well as the continued show of Peggy Cook "A Silver Lining". Join us to appreciate their art on display in the gallery.

Show Opening: Gloria Sanchez Hart "50 Years of Printmaking"

The May 1 MayDay Celebration at Tiemann Art Gallery features 28 works by San Antonio artist and educator Gloria Sanchez Hart. Hart's artwork is conceptualized as part of a series where she focuses on survival, maternity, procreation, life and death, rites of passage, and Nahuatl mythology. Mexican born, living in San Antonio since 1989, she has a Master degree in printmaking. Her artwork has been extensively exhibited in Mexico.

Tiemann Art Gallery is pleased to present paintings by oil and pastel artist Peggy Cook created during the pandemic. Peggy moved from Kansas to Austin in 2019 just in time for the pandemic. Experiencing the isolation of the pandemic, she found a silver lining by focusing on her art and spending time with her young grandson Max. Welcome to Austin, Peggy!


Trunk Show

Saturday, April 3rd, 10 am-5 pm, Tiemann Art Gallery will
host two Trunk Shows featuring the work of artists Doretta Conrad and Peggy Cook. A Trunk Show gives customers access to more art at a lower price than available in the gallery. Browse the beautiful collection of handmade jewelry of Doretta Designs and the original paintings of Peggy Cook. Stop by to enjoy the new exhibits the gallery has to offer too
